I. Purpose:

The CBR (Coefficient of Bearing Ratio) Tester is used to conduct CBR tests on various soils and pavement subbase and subgrade materials after preparing test specimens in specified test cylinders. This test shall comply with the JTG3430-2020 Code for Geotechnical Testing of Highways and the GB/T 50123-2019 Standard for Geotechnical Testing Methods. The maximum particle size of the mixture shall be controlled within 25 mm, with a maximum of 40 mm.

II. Main Instrument Parameters:

1. CBR Tester: Speed 1 mm/min, maximum pressure 60 kN.

2. Penetration rod: End face diameter Φ50 mm.

3. Dial gauges: 0–10 mm, 2 units.
