I. Overview
The YYW-2 strain-controlled unconfined pressure tester is the main conventional test instrument for the current geotechnical test.
2. Main use
It is used to measure the axial pressure of soft clay with greater saturation under the condition of unrestricted lateral direction until the sample is damaged, and to obtain the unconfined compressive strength of the soil. Confined compressive strength tests are also used to determine soil sensitivity. (Sensitivity is the ratio of the unconfined compressive strength of the undisturbed soil to the reshaped soil maintaining the natural water content).
