The instrument meets SL 237-1999 "Geotechnical Test Regulations", JTG E40-2007 "Highway Geotechnical Test Regulations", TB10102-2010 "Railway Engineering Geotechnical Test Regulations".

It is used for indoor determination of the elastic modulus of fine-grained soil or graded aggregate samples with a particle size of less than 20 mm.
