Purpose and overview:

This device is a vacuum saturation device made according to the chapter "Sample Preparation and Saturation" of GB/T50123-1999 Geotechnical Experiment Method Standard.

The vacuum saturation cylinder is made of stainless steel, which has the characteristics of large volume (300x300 height) and light weight. The vacuum pump is 1 negative atmospheric pressure.

When using this device for saturated soil samples, according to GB/T50123-1999, install the samples and connect the device with a vacuum rubber tube (accessory) to a vacuum pump (aspirator). Before turning on the power:

1. First close the two valves on the "cover" (one vacuum valve and one water injection valve).

2. Slightly pressurize the cover, start the vacuum pump, and slowly open the vacuum valve (opening the valve too quickly will cause the vacuum pump to spray oil). At this time, the vacuum pressure gauge indicates the vacuum value, and the device works normally.
